Shihan Alan Cleary  Shihan Alan began his Kyokushin journey in 1978 at Centre 21, and then at the Westcroft Dojo. His trainer was Shihan Grant Kinnaird, a renowned hard task master.  During his years of training he has been taught by such luminaries as Hanshi Arneil, Shihan's Brian Fitkin, Howard Collins, Joe Claranino and Cyril Andrews to name but a few. Between the years 1978-1998 Shihan Alan entered over 80 Kyokushin, Taekwondo, Kick Boxing, and Karate All-Styles competitions with varied success, culminating in representing England for the IKO during the 1990's. At the start of the Millennium, Shihan Tom and Shihan Alan opened their own Dojo. They now have 3 full and successful Dojos. Shihan Alan was a founding member of the IKKU (Independent Kyokushin Karate Union) and currently holds the position of Chief Instructor. In 2017 Shihan Alan was awarded 6th Dan (Rokudan)  for his services to the IKKU and the promotion og Kyokushin in general
